A four-day (32 hours) training program designed for female law enforcement officers who intend to or routinely participate in covert undercover operations.  Officers who participate in covert operations are not born with the talents needed to perform effectively and safely in undercover situations. These talents are developed from experience, hard work and training. When working undercover, female police officers face situations and problems unique to their gender. This program will provide the students with the techniques and survival tactics necessary to compliment their present undercover experience. Many times this can make the difference between success or failure and safety or injury.

This training is ONLY open to women law enforcement officers, prosecutors and intelligence analysts. Attendance is limited.  Register early to ensure your attendance.

CHARLIE FULLER – Retired Special Agent, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms. Charlie has 27 years of law enforcement experience with expertise in undercover, electronic surveillance and training.  He was a Program Manager at the ATF National Academy for six years. He was responsible for the Undercover and Field Operations Training Programs. He is the author of The Art of Undercover:  Techniques and Survival, a complete “how to” work undercover textbook. Charlie currently presents undercover and survival techniques and tactical training programs nationwide and has trained over 19,000 undercover officers.  He is also the Founder and Executive Director of the International Association of Undercover Officers.

MELANIE JONES – Det. Melanie Jones is a ten-year veteran with the Houston Police Department, with over six years’ experience as a vice investigator. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master’s in Criminal Justice Leadership from Sam Houston University. Det. Jones started her vice career with general operations, where she participated in several hundred undercover operations encompassing prostitution, liquor, and gambling complainants within city of Houston. During this time, she saw a need to attack the demand side of prostitution to affect the growing level of Human Trafficking within the city. She developed and implemented a decoy school aiming to educate female officers on conducting safe undercover operations while simultaneously building a solid case for prosecution. Approximately one hundred female officers inside and outside the Houston Police Department have been trained in uniformity by Det. Jones. Det. Jones holds several departmental awards for operations in which she participated. Det. Jones implemented a reverse decoy operation that was called “the most successful operation in terms of arrests in 2017” in the Houston Police Department. The department also awarded Det. Jones with an “Award of Excellence” for innovative operations to proactively target pimps in decoy operations. As such, Det. Jones was recently asked to join Houston Police’s elite Human Trafficking Unit, where she currently focuses on reactive and proactive operations targeting pimps in and around the city of Houston.
ROSALINDA YBANEZ – Linda is a 24-year veteran with the Houston Police Department and is presently a Narcotics Investigator in the Special Investigations Command/Narcotics Division/General Enforcement.  Linda has worked undercover for many years and presently uses her numerous investigative skills to conduct pro-active investigations.  She has worked actively with ATF, FBI and DEA helping develop major undercover operations.  Linda is developing classes regarding undercover women’s issues in an effort to help female police officers all over the country.

DR. LAURA BRODIE – Laura A. Brodie, Phd., is a practicing Clinical and Forensic Psychologist in Tustin, CA.  She has worked with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Employee Assistance Program, focusing on substance abuse issues in law enforcement as well as debriefing and preparing undercover officers for assignment.  She is also a member of the CRT and SAT’s Hostage Negotiation Team.  She currently evaluates Federal Candidates for law enforcement employment, consults with local police departments and treats law enforcement individuals in a variety of psychological issues.

The training will be held at the Colorado Fraternal Order of Police, 8400 Alcott Street, Westminister, CO 80031.  The registration fee for the five-day training program is $425.00 per person.
